To Chase a little fame chase the paper game
lost my point of reference and began to entertain
chase some recognition though all of it in vain
Nothing new under the sun so I rather seek the shade
Under the wings of the almighty cause I know that’s not in vain.

I need to focus some more on what is worthwhile
while some see profit I want to hear from the prophets
Vanity is everywhere I turn and it is there
looking at the mirror swear I see it there
- Never had it all never been abject poor
blesses are the poor in spirit at heavens door?
no time for stacking paper like my life depend on it
spend time in prayer cause my life depends on it
not perfect by any means I never claimed to ever be
struggle with my thoughts sometimes they take control
now is the lack of conviction the lack of a vision
the lack of direction that keeps me in this condition
or is it the pull of the world the lust no love
Money power respect but we lacking true gold
and not a Jesus piece hangin on my neck
Cause it will never ever reflect how he came to save my neck
so I Praise Him in exchange I know it’s not in vain
He left His treasure and throne and He became flesh
I believe by faith thought I still haven’t seen him
I got glimpse of his grace when I saw my daughter face
The love that I got for her is the love that He got for me
like diamonds on a crown like the passion on the cross
and love held him there as He took his last breath
No jewels can’t compare cause that’s the true wealth
